How We Met

We met in 2018. Life took us both in different directions until we crossed paths again in 2020.

The Proposal

Our proposal story is one to share. We made reservations in downtown Cleveland in one of the igloo dinners on the river. Our igloo was broken, it was snowing inside of it, the heaters didn’t work… I was not happy about it (little did I know Ryan had told our server he was going to be proposing). To make up for the disappointing igloo, she offered us a bottle of Champagne- again because she knew the plan he had. 🤭 I dislike Champagne so I said ” just bring us 2 long islands.” So, over long Islands, Ryan got down on one knee.

Also side note, if you make dinner reservations in an igloo be sure to ask about the food… we had no idea the servings were intended for 12 people. We had 12 mini sliders, a bucket of tater tots, 12 hot stuffed peppers, and a sheet of cookies for the just the two of us. 😆 We laugh so hard when we think back on how the whole date panned out when he asked me to be his forever.

Wedding Planning

It was honestly seamless. Megan was a huge help with any questions I would randomly think of. Amy from Gracie Mae Bridal (hairstylist) was absolutely phenomenal and helped me come up with my day of timelines. We didn’t have a wedding planner or day or coordinator but with the help of Megan and Amy I honestly wouldn’t have needed one.

How We Felt on Our Big Day

Thankful

Why Running Horse Farm?

Ryan grew up on a farm and the venue was absolutely perfect for what vision we had for our special day – rustic/ romantic. We had a lot of family traveling from other states to join us so having the hotels nearby was another large part in why we went with RHF.

Our Favorite Moment

We had a videographer (TKC Films) and had our microphones on right before the ceremony started. The special moments those mics captured as I walked down the aisle with my grandfather are memories I will cherish forever. Also, the first touch done in the bridal suite right before guests began to arrive was a very special moment.

Advice from the bride:

The day will go so fast so take time with your husband outside at night during the reception by the silo. This was a great photo opportunity and it was nice to just sneak away and take it all in.

10/10 recommend hiring a videographer. TKC Films was absolutely amazing.
