Our Story

Richie and I met on Bumble- a dating app where the girl has to reach out to the guy first, which with our relationship makes a lot of sense. Two years later Richie proposed. I always said I’d prefer a courthouse wedding, but what I got was a courthouse proposal. Richie took me to the old courthouse downtown and got on bended knee. We didn’t have my courthouse wedding, we had something so much better!

How We Felt on Our Big Day

“Relieved. It sounds terrible, but planning a wedding during a pandemic has not been easy. I felt 6 months of stress leave my body. It was liberating.”

      Our Favorite Moment

Once the formalities were over and the dancing began!

With Covid, you have to sacrifice so many things about your celebration, cancelled bachelorette parties, Grandma not being able to attend, the list was endless. Through the stress and tears, I was able to look around and realize I had an army of support behind me and the best husband standing next to me. We will have a crazy story to tell years down the road, but Covid helped me see that while the wedding is important the marriage is why we were doing this.
