Our Story

“What started as a friend request,  quickly developed into post-liking, side-eyed glances from across the auditorium, and eventually the message that started it all. After days of preparation, the best she should come up with (That’s right, folks, she made the first move) was “Hey ;-)”. Unbeknownst to him, the “cute guy” from teacher inservice day’s life was about to change forever.” – Ryan

The First Date: February 27, 2019)

“Almost 30 minutes early, he nervously entered Tipsy Bean, a local coffee shop, and waited for what seemed to be the longest half hour of his life, but from the moment she walked in and with every moment with her thereafter, time ceased to exist. After closing down the coffee shop on that cold, wintry day, the rest as they say is history, as much fewer days were spent apart as they were spent together.” – Ryan

The Proposal: December 31st, 2019

After dinner with her family, Ryan asked Meagan to close her eyes as they drove, making sure to take the long way to their destination, because he had one last New Year’s Eve surprise for her. With her eyes still closed, he pulled into a parking lot, parked the car, and guided her out into the cold.  After walking for a short time, Ryan stopped, got down on one knee, and told Meagan to open her eyes. Right there, underneath the awning of the coffee shop of their first date, she said YES!” – Meagan

WHY WE CHOSE RUNNING HORSE FARM

“It was a beautiful barn at a reasonable price. The room for the girls to get ready during the day of. The choice of an indoor or outdoor ceremony. The beautiful wood throughout the venue. The accessibility to all the decorations and table cloths.”

Despite the shortened guest list (thank you COVID), our day pretty much ended up as planned. We feel The Running Horse Farm was able to match our style and bring our decor/theme to life perfectly. We are still getting so many compliments from friends and families about how amazing the venue was and how beautiful our day looked! 🙂 We both really enjoyed dancing the evening away just as if we were still dancing alone in our kitchen!
