Our Story
I saw Kevin in a picture and wanted to know a little bit more about him. Our mutual friend introduced us and eight years later we have been inseparable ever since we met. Kevin proposed to me Christmas morning 2020. We are big fans of the movie Beauty and the Beast (because of our size difference…Kevin is 6’3 and I am 5’6) and we have memorabilia all over our house. Kevin ended up getting the rose in the glass dome from the movie and having it engraved. When I opened it, the rose was lit up and the ring was inside. I would not have wanted any other proposal.
Why We Chose Running Horse Farm
I went and visited a bunch of venues and they were all the same set up, same food, and same structure. We didn’t want that…we wanted something different and unique. When I walked into Running Horse, I instantly knew this was the place for us. The location was perfect, the barn was gorgeous, and the way you could create the room to meet your individual needs sold me right away.
Wedding Planning & Shoutouts
The process was so easy!! I used the vendors that Running Horse recommended and they did not disappoint. They were all familiar with the venue so they knew exactly what to do the day of our wedding. Everyone was so kind, helpful, and made us feel like we were their priority. Megan from Running Horse was fantastic. She answered all my questions and set my mind at ease when talking to her about the set up.

DJ: DJ Christopher Productions – Bruce filled in last minute due to Christopher getting Covid however they were both amazing. Bruce had little time to get to know us but ended up doing a fantastic job marrying and celebrating with us.
Caterer: Mission BBQ – The food was the hit of the night. Everyone LOVED it and couldn’t stop talking about how creative the menu was for that night.
Dessert: Pink Bandana – Cake and cupcakes / they were delicious.

Our Favorite Moment
The moment when I walked out of the bridal suite and saw my soon to be husband standing at the other end of the barn and seeing all our family and friends there, supporting our special day. I finally got to see all of our hard work come together and it was absolutely perfect. It’s a moment I will never forget.
Advice to Other Brides
DO IT AT RUNNING HORSE!!
This venue does not disappoint. We are still taking about it today and how amazing everything turned out. The pictures we have from our special day are so different than any other wedding I have been to in the past. The uniqueness of this venue just adds to the elegance of your unforgettable day.

I just want to thank everyone for their dedication and commitment to making our day the best day ever. From Megan to Rose and everyone in between, we couldn’t have asked for a better crew. I never thought planning a wedding could be so easy and stress free. I give Running Horse Farm five stars across the board.
